For competitive flying in the F5J category
it is advisable to use a power unit containing a 280
mm folding propeller, a brushless AXI 2820/10 motor,
a JES 40-3P regler, 7xSanyo RC SC (1600 mAh) accumulator,
a microreceiver and microservos for controlling the
ailerons, elevator and rudder as well.
You can use also motor Phasor 15/3 with 230/140 propeller. |
Performance
characteristics of the model:

Uprising with the recommended
power unit is approx. 7m/s, gliding is up to 0,5m/s.
The motor and 1600 mAh accumulator running time is
close to 90 seconds. In 40 seconds of motor running,
the model can reach as high as 250-280 metres. The
gliding time in still air without thermics is usually
7-8 minutes. |
