Palo,
Anyhow for what i have read on several model paper it appear
to me that with your suggestion it will be possible to avoid
any link to the motor and battery set up (that is what under
discussion on several forums). In addition in this way it
will be possible to emphasize the model design and pilot capability
instead of the power set up.
I have read of several different
rules for the new F5J class but are always related to the
motor and battery set up and it appear to me that it will
not so easy to arrive to a conclusion. With your "switch"
there will be no more any "power calculation" to
be done and in addition such competition could be accessed
also by people that do not have the possibility to install
the best and costly power set up available.
So my feed back, just as sport flyer,
is absolutelly positive.

Hello
Palo,
This FXJ sounds wonderful. Just what everyone is looking for.
And if they are not, they should be. No power race, no difficult
or time consuming processing. I don't quite understand how
this will work. Is it a device which we will fit into the
model and will cut the motor when you reach a certain preset
height? Is it being manufactured now? Has it been tested?
In the glider classes you get a 'zoom' at the end of the tow,
how would this effect the FXJ? Does it not mean the person
with the most powerful motor will gain the most height?

Dear palo,
...your idee of a altidude switch is quite interesting and
opens a whole new window. The first idee is that we fly to
the allowed altidude, stop the motor with the FXJ switch,
and glide 10 min. But who tells the timekeeper exactly when
the motors stops? Or we go just be sight and the timekeeper
starts his stopwatch when he thinks the motor stopped?
Anyway I will think about. Let me know about progress.

Hi Palo,
We have also discussed this a little in the F3J community
and while F3J will never dissapear one can evolve electro
classes into "F3J" by "switch-loggers".

Hello Palo,
Your device is very interesting. If t is not too expensive,
it is what we need for F5J!
It is interesting possibility to arrange competition despite
different power setups.

Hi Palo
I really hope you will succeed with your device and I wish
you good luck. It was very interesting to hear Jaro's views
on the J-future and I think it is a good idea. I have also
been flying a little bit F3J on a national level here in Norway
but the last 5 years I have not done much since I think it
is too specialized with the towing. And the fact that you
need a really good team. It would be great to have the possibility
to be able to compete on a high level alone or at least only
with thermal spotter help.

Hello Palo,
Fantastic news about switch! Let me know about your tests.
Some people in my club are very interested. It's ready for
order? What is the price? Please, keep me informed because
we want to buy some units to make our own tests.
